Peace of Mind!
Most vehicle accidents occur when the vehicle is in reverse. And with the design of vehicles today, especially SUVs, vans and trucks the driver’s rearward view can be limited. Give your customers true peace of mind and increase your aftermarket profits with ROSS Systems from Nassau Technologies, Inc.

How does it work?
The Radar Obstacle Sensing System (ROSS) transmits a microwave radar signal covering an area from 18" to 12' behind the vehicle, including past the edge of the vehicle to protect the vehicle edges. When an object comes into this area there is a shift in frequency of the microwave signal, which contains speed and distance information of the object. This information is instantaneously sent from the sensor (usually mounted behind or underneath the rear bumper) to the processor which communicates to the driver by means of both an L.E.D. display and an audible alert.

Why is this system the best?
Other detection devices require a line-of-sight uninterrupted signal. Therefore, the transducer must be mounted externally and they cannot be placed behind or covered by any type of material like plastic, fiberglass, rubber, even dirt, snow or mud! In addition, fog, hard rain, sleet, extreme heat or light, even darkness, can seriously affect the performance of other systems. The ROSS system is not affected by these conditions.

What kind of installation is required?
The ROSS has universal application and is easy to install. Nassau offers custom brackets for some of the applications. There are only three wires to connect, and the entire installation is done in three simple steps.

What kind of quality is the ROSS?
The ROSS features a waterproof construction and comes with three-year/ 36,000 mile warranty. A QS900/ISO9001 company manufactures the ROSS in the United States.

How will customers like the ROSS?
Smart customers will understand and appreciate the safety and convenience that a ROSS can provide, and its ease of use. The ROSS is designed to be "user friendly" with easy-to-understand audio and visual warning signals. The audible alert volume is adjustable to the customer's preference, and the L.E.D. automatically lowers its intensity when the exterior lights are activated.
