To remove this shroud, simply unscrew and/or unclip it from the main body of the center console. Once the shroud is off, remove any rear radio controls, or A/C controls. (These controls will be reinstalled into the new replacement shroud)
Install the infrared transmitter dome into the headliner in the rear of the vehicle facing the front of the vehicle. Ground the infrared dome at the rear of the vehicle. Then run the audio cable and the power wire in the headliner from the rear dome to the back seat door. Run the cabling down the door pillar behind the rubber door seal. Then run the cabling under the carpet and connect it to the VCP/TV tuner.
Install the glass mount antenna in any of the larger rear windows or the front windshield. Run the cabling under the carpet to the VCP/TV tuner. (See step 4 for location of VCP/TV tuner)
Using Nassau's combination VCP/TV tuner saves both time and money. The VCP/TV tuner can be installed vertically in the front or rear center console, or mounted horizontally under the rear passenger seat. Run the wiring from the VCP/TV tuner under the carpet a short distance to the center console. Install noise filter under the dash at the main ignition power source. Run an extended wire from the noise filter to the center console for power for all the mobile video components. Plug the antenna cable into the VCP/TV tuner.
Remove the factory radio and reroute the factory antenna through the FM
modulator. Run the audio cables and the power and ground wires to the back of the center console.
Place the screen into the custom mounting area at the top of the shroud. Then install rear A/C or radio controls previously removed from the original factory console into the new shroud. Make all the necessary connections using the wiring and connectors supplied. After making all the connections, install the new shroud onto the center console.
